I get asked a lot about what makes our creatine different from the dozens of other options on the market. And it's a great question - because when you look at the shelves (or the internet), creatine can seem all the same, right?

Not quite.

When I was developing our creatine range, I knew I wanted something that went beyond the generic. Creavitalis® is produced to a minimum purity of 99.9% creatine monohydrate — and that specification is rigorously upheld, with every single batch tested for heavy metals, microbiological safety, and process byproduct limits. That level of control is not the norm in the global creatine market, where the overwhelming majority of supply comes from facilities whose testing protocols and ingredient traceability are far less transparent.

Made in Germany

The entire Creavitalis® manufacturing process - from raw materials through to the finished ingredient - takes place exclusively at AlzChem's dedicated GMP plant in Germany. AlzChem produces all of its own key raw materials on-site, under continuously monitored manufacturing and analytical controls. There is no outsourcing, no contract manufacturing, no supply chain uncertainty.

This matters enormously. The vast majority of generic creatine sold globally - across sports nutrition, wellness, and private-label brands - is manufactured in a small number of facilities in China, with widely varying standards and limited independent verification. When a brand cannot (or will not) tell you where their creatine comes from, you simply cannot verify what you're taking.

Ultra-micronised 

One of the key differences between Creavitalis® and the Creapure® grade (and a big reason it was chosen for our products) is that Creavitalis® is ultra-micronised. This means it has an exceptionally fine particle size, giving it superior solubility and an almost completely neutral taste and texture. It dissolves cleanly in water, blends effortlessly into smoothies, and doesn't leave the gritty residue that many people find with standard creatine powders.

The science supporting creatine

Creatine is one of the most studied compounds in human nutrition - with over 66,000 published studies to date. It is a natural substance produced by the body, playing a central role in cellular energy metabolism. As creatine phosphate, it acts as a rapid energy reserve in cells with high energy demands: muscles, the heart, and the brain.
