Spotlight on Creavitalis®
Posted on June 09 2026,
I get asked a lot about what makes our creatine different from the dozens of other options on the market. And it's a great question - because when you look at the shelves (or the internet), creatine can seem all the same, right?
Not quite.
When I was developing our creatine range, I knew I wanted something that went beyond the generic. I wanted an ingredient I could stand behind completely - one with a traceable origin, world-class manufacturing standards, and a reputation built on decades of real science. That led me to Creavitalis®.
In December 2025, Prochaine became the first supplement brand in New Zealand to launch products featuring Creavitalis® - our Vitality Blend and Pure Creatine. Here's the full story.
AlzChem, Trostberg, Germany
Creavitalis® is produced exclusively by AlzChem Group AG. AlzChem is widely recognised as the global leader in premium creatine production. Their Trostberg facility is the same plant that has been manufacturing high-purity creatine monohydrate for over 20 years - the same site responsible for the world-renowned Creapure®, the creatine standard that has underpinned hundreds of clinical trials and earned a permanent spot on every serious "best creatine" list.
Creavitalis® is AlzChem's next-generation offering, built on the very same German manufacturing platform, but specifically developed and optimised for health & wellness. Think of it as creatine that has evolved beyond the gym to meet the needs of everyday health.
What makes Creavitalis® different?
Purity you can count on
Creavitalis® is produced to a minimum purity of 99.9% creatine monohydrate — and that specification is rigorously upheld, with every single batch tested for heavy metals, microbiological safety, and process byproduct limits. That level of control is not the norm in the global creatine market, where the overwhelming majority of supply comes from facilities whose testing protocols and ingredient traceability are far less transparent.
When you take Creavitalis®, measurements show that more than 99.9% is absorbed into the bloodstream — meaning what's on the label is what your body actually receives.
Made in Germany
The entire Creavitalis® manufacturing process - from raw materials through to the finished ingredient - takes place exclusively at AlzChem's dedicated GMP plant in Germany. AlzChem produces all of its own key raw materials on-site, under continuously monitored manufacturing and analytical controls. There is no outsourcing, no contract manufacturing, no supply chain uncertainty.
This matters enormously. The vast majority of generic creatine sold globally - across sports nutrition, wellness, and private-label brands - is manufactured in a small number of facilities in China, with widely varying standards and limited independent verification. When a brand cannot (or will not) tell you where their creatine comes from, you simply cannot verify what you're taking.
With Creavitalis®, every batch carries a unique identification code that guarantees its authenticity and traceability back to the source.
Ultra-micronised
One of the key differences between Creavitalis® and the Creapure® grade (and a big reason it was chosen for our products) is that Creavitalis® is ultra-micronised. This means it has an exceptionally fine particle size, giving it superior solubility and an almost completely neutral taste and texture. It dissolves cleanly in water, blends effortlessly into smoothies, and doesn't leave the gritty residue that many people find with standard creatine powders.
The science supporting creatine
Creatine is one of the most studied compounds in human nutrition - with over 66,000 published studies to date. It is a natural substance produced by the body, playing a central role in cellular energy metabolism. As creatine phosphate, it acts as a rapid energy reserve in cells with high energy demands: muscles, the heart, and the brain.
The body naturally breaks down and excretes roughly 1–2% of its total creatine stores each day. For most people - and especially for those following plant-based diets, since creatine is found almost exclusively in meat and fish - dietary intake and supplementation are essential for keeping those stores topped up.
Why we chose Creavitalis®
When we launched our Pure Creatine and Vitality Blend featuring Creavitalis® in December 2025, we became the first brand in New Zealand to bring this ingredient to market. That wasn't a happy accident - it was the result of a deliberate search for something genuinely better.
Just as we chose Peptan marine collagen and Holimel® dried melon extract for our Collagen Beauty Blends because they represented the best of their category, we chose Creavitalis® because it represents the best of creatine. A premium, fully traceable, rigorously certified ingredient from one of the world's most respected manufacturers - developed specifically for the health and wellness space that our customers care about.
You deserve to know exactly what you're putting in your body. With Creavitalis®, there are no compromises, no gaps in the story, and no reason to wonder.
So, why choose Creavitalis® over generic creatine?
Most creatine on the market tells you very little: no country of origin, no named brand, no third-party testing, no batch traceability. You're trusting a label.
Creavitalis® gives you:
-
99.9%+ purity, verified batch by batch
-
Full traceability from raw material to finished ingredient, with a unique batch code
-
Manufactured in Germany by the world's most respected creatine producer
-
Purpose-built for health applications — ultra-fine micronised for superior solubility and mixability
-
Certified vegan, kosher, halal, GRAS, GMP, and FSSC 22000
-
Backed by decades of science and ongoing research across 30+ universities globally
That's the difference. And that's what's inside our Pure Creatine and Vitality Blend — nothing less.
